Eggs En Marinade Recipe
Ingredients:
12 whole eggs
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp celery seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
24 pcs cloves
1 quart vinegar (cider)
3 pcs of beets (dark red)
Instructions:
Hard boil all eggs. Submerge in chilly water immediately then peel away shells. Embed two pieces of cloves onto each egg.
Pare all beets, slice to form squares then boil in sixteen ounces water. Mix the cider vinegar then bring mixture to boil. Mix the salt, mustard and celery seeds in then the pepper.
Place all eggs inside large mason jars and decant the beet mixture. When sufficiently cooled, cover jars. This can keep for two weeks to three.
You can add one tablespoon of shredded radish or one half cup of Nasturtium seeds in order to enhance taste and avoid appearance of spores.
